80′s Rock – Look Away

You may want to look away from 80’s rock songs but you won’t be able to escape their presence in the current media culture, as we as saturated with their memories.  1989 saw Janet Jackson take the fifth spot on the top pop rock charts with her song “Miss You Much”.  We’ll be straight with you as the number four position was taken by “Straight Up” by American Idol star Paula Abdul.

 

Not to stick it to ya, but Poison did quite well in 1989 and hit the number three spot on the charts with their hit “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn”.  Yes, 80′s rock rules!  Mr. Downtown Bobby Brown nabbed position number two on the 89’ pop rock charts with his release of “My Prerogative”.  Now before you turn your head, we must reveal the number one pop song of 1989 by the band Chicago with their tune “Look Away”.
