After you have been working with medical billing software for several years you may be ready to move on to other positions within this field.  You may be interested in becoming a supervisor in an office who oversees others that are training in medical billing software.  You may even be able to work for a vocational school that instructs students in medical billing software.  There is definitely a career path that can provide you with different roles and responsibilities.  If you are really driven you can work your way up to a regional director of medical billing.  Whatever you choose it is nice to know you have many options.
