When we moved last month, I was really surprised at all the hoops that we had to jump through. I just figured that we had to find a suitable place and pay the rent on time and we were good. Apparently, however, there’s been a slew of people who just move into a house and then the owner has a heck of time getting resolution. Because of that, we had to submit our merged credit report and also pay the first and last months rent ahead. Having this information gave our landlord much better peace of mind and she has been great to work with. It was kind of a hassle, but I can understand why it’s a necessary precaution.
