Erik was working late and his secretary couldn’t leave the office while he was still working. The others had went home early since it was a long weekend. Erik just needed to finish his presentation for next week and Rebecca, his secretary, was helping him with it. She was a whiz when it came to powerpoint presentations. It was already 9pm when they had finished and Erik told Rebecca to go ahead and leave him to lock up the office. Before Rebecca left she handed Erik a small handmade fathers day gift. Erik was suprised by the gesture and thanked Rebecca. It was a book on smart parenting and Erik appreciated it a lot.

The shades we have up on our windows are getting really dingy looking. I can’t seem to get them clean. I really want the house to look nicer, so I am looking into different types of shades for windows. This time I want to make sure to buy something that will be easy to keep clean, as well as look nice. I want to get the same type for all of the windows, so I am going to have to save up a little bit of money, but while I am saving I can look for just the perfect shades.

I have three sons that vary in age. The oldest is twelve and my baby is only two. At this point in their lives, they are pretty happy with anything. I mean, they aren’t thrilled to find a package of socks in a gift, but other than that, it’s not a problem. However, they are going to grow up and soon I will be shopping for a gift for men…three of them to be exact. How does a mom make that kind of transition, anyways? Talk about a paradigm shift. Then, to scare myself even more, my two daughters will probably marry, adding even more men to my list. Ack! I better start planning now!

When I’m in the party mood I’m afraid I get a little carried away.  My Significant Other says “very carried away”!.  Oh well! You only live once – right? At this point, what I need and quick are a couple of  brand new Informal Party Dresses. I just don’t want to trot out the same old any more.  I’ve got all the miles I can get out of the current wardrobe – it’s time for some radical changes. You know I love short but I’m ready to branch out and go with the latest trends if they suit me. So I’ll hit the stores this week and report back.. Have coffee with me next Wednesday – OK?
