All about Alaskan King Crabs

5:30 am Health

Alaskan king crabs are beautiful creatures, harvested in the icy waters of Alaska. There are three kinds of king crabs that are commercially harvested: red king crab, blue king crab, and brown king crab. King crabs are renowned for their delicious and healthy white meat, which can be extracted whole with a bit of effort. They can weigh up to 10 pounds and present cooks and diners alike with a meaty meal. Served as a main course or as a part of an appetizer, King crabs are elegant and are thus easily and beautifully plated. Though the crabbing season is short, King crab meat is normally available frozen year-round.
