I’ve noticed that brides-to-be seem to spring up with about the same frequency as daffodils each year.  Rarely does an Easter season pass without someone stopping me to tell me they’ve decided to get married this June and have just gotten engaged.  This is true even if they’ve been dating for twelve years.  Maybe it’s the weather, or the high spirits that most people feel when winter is over.  Whatever it is, I have learned to block out my calender once I start seeing manicured hands flashing sparkling engagement rings.  Just this week a co-worker announced that her boyfriend finally proposed, much to her surprise.  I looked at the calender and wasn’t surprised at all.
