Preaching of the Gospel or Good News of Jesus Christ, is not a doctrine that is peculiar to the Mormon faith, but the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, are some of the most dedicated Christian missionaries on the planet. The mormon doctrine of sending out a young man or young woman for eighteen months to two years to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world, is one that members of the Church take to heart. In fact, “Every member a missionary”, the watch words of President David Oman McKay, is to this day taken very seriously by every member of the Church.
